Tips for Preparing for 'LIVE' Online Learning

Practice Using The Technology

It may sound obvious but before going live, preparation is essential. Even when familiar with the technology it is always best to conduct a test run with a colleague or friend before attending the training session.

Have a Backup Plan

Downloaded Zoom, to your phone as well as the laptop before the session starts. If the laptop is slow to respond then you can dial in from the phone. It is not ideal but it will enable you to tune into the session.

As the sessions are not recorded it is important that you attend.

The training materials delivered during the online live sessions are also available on the learning platform – you course trainer will inform you where to find the relevant material.

Mark Your Calendar

Set up automatic meeting reminders when booking to attend the training session to ensure you do not miss the event.

Zoom Instructions

Please read the attached document to ensure that you understand how to access the Zoom room, raise a hand and add comments to the chat feature.
